Put your name or logo on the boards you make. We make custom brass branding irons for cutting boards, charcuterie boards and serving boards, with artwork review and a digital proof before production.
Start with the logo, the space available and the wood you use. We can help you choose a practical size and an electric or flame-heated tool for your workflow.
A narrow edge, the underside of a board and an open face give your logo different amounts of room. Measure the actual flat area, including clearance from a handle, groove or curved edge. A photo with a ruler beside the intended position helps us assess the fit.
For a long, shallow space, a horizontal name or logo may be the better starting point. Where there is more room, a square or round design can work. The finished artwork and the plate dimensions are different measurements; check both on your proof.
A logo that looks clear on a screen can lose small lettering and tight gaps when branded into wood. Send your best existing artwork rather than shrinking it to fit a size first. We can discuss a larger mark or a simpler layout where needed.
Include these details with your artwork:

An end-grain face can give a different result from the side of the same board. A logo crossing several blocks or species may show changes in darkness and detail. Test on matching offcuts and consider whether an edge-grain area on the side or underside gives you a more suitable mark.
For the detailed checks, read why end-grain wood branding can look blotchy. If the center or an edge is faint, use our uneven wood brand guide.
Send your artwork and project details. We review the design and size, help you choose a tool and provide a digital proof before production. Review the spelling, layout, plate dimensions and actual artwork dimensions before approving it.
A test mark on one piece of wood does not guarantee the same result on every board. Practise on an offcut that matches your own species, grain and surface preparation before branding the finished piece. Our heat and dwell time guide explains what to watch for.
Send your logo and a photo or dimensions of the place you want to brand. Tell us the wood and your usual batch size, and we can help you choose a suitable tool and mark size.
