Cardboard box branding and hot foil stamping
Put your logo on your packaging. Choose a rustic direct heat brand for plain cardboard, or explore foil for finished and coloured boxes.

Your starting point
Consider the Professional 500W cardboard iron for handheld branding with adjustable heat. It includes the custom brass head and handle. Test your box before setting up a batch.

Direct heat branding creates a dark mark without ink or foil. We have used electric branding irons on our own plain shipping boxes, as shown above. Your cardboard, artwork and selected tool still need a trial. Both a heated press with a custom head and a handheld electric iron are options.

For finished or coloured boxes, we generally recommend hot-stamping foil for a crisp coloured or metallic mark. Choose the foil for the exact surface. Colour alone does not identify the coating. Printed, varnished or laminated boxes need material review and sample testing.

The press and custom head are separate purchases. The professional electric iron includes its custom brass head. Select a size or configuration below, then continue to the full ordering options.

Cardboard branding guidelines
Which materials should I test?
Identify the cardboard liner and any print, varnish, laminate or other coating with your box supplier. Start with identical spare material. For foil, ask the foil supplier for a grade intended for that surface. Finished surfaces need testing before use.
Can I brand an assembled box?
Start with flat blanks where practical. An assembled empty box needs firm backing immediately behind the marked panel. Check head clearance and reach to the logo location. Support the box so the wall stays flat and the corrugated structure does not crush.
Will the custom head fit my press?
Confirm the actual press model, holder and mounting thread. Our custom-head ordering options include M4 and M8 × 1.25 mm where shown. Select the thread your holder requires. Send a clear mounting-area photo if uncertain, along with die thickness, available working area and space for box support.
How do I find a repeatable setting?
Use your tool and material supplier guidance. Establish heat, contact time and even pressure on identical spare material, then make several consecutive impressions. Check clarity, unwanted scorching, halo and panel distortion. For foil, follow the supplier’s peel or removal instructions, then check coverage and adhesion after cooling. Avoid assuming a maximum temperature gives the best result.
What happens after I submit my logo?
Include the intended logo width and height, box material and whether you will mark flat blanks or assembled boxes. We review the artwork and provide a digital proof before production. Request material testing through the form and arrange sample shipping.
